As Kenya approaches the 2022 General Elections, political leaders should desist from inciting youths to violence and instead formulate policies that empower and promote youth into leadership. The Church should foster Christian Love among the youth as divisions do not portray the image of God. Through his teaching, encouragement, optimism and trust, St Pope John Paul II constantly affirmed the role of the youth in the life of the Church as it is reflected in his exhortation at the end of the African synod: “Youth are the best evangelisers to their peers. No one can do it better than they … Youth is an important period of physical, spiritual, mental and social growth. It is also the time when their values, life skills, commitments and morals are formed…”
