The threats to Kenya’s national security keep increasing. We have recently witnessed acts of terrorism and increased cases of domestic and family violence. Major factors that have contributed to insecurity include: radicalisation and intolerance, misuse of advanced technology, immigration and mobility of peoples across the world and limited natural resources of our country and neighboring countries. On the one hand, our capabilities for providing our national security needs have also increased significantly. Safety and security is a right of all citizens. We believe that
concrete measures can be instituted to reinforce the security sector for the good of our Nation.
